The place (web page, tweet, whatever) where someone is mentioned could be simply called a "place". The instance of someone being mentioned in that place could be called a "mention". A mention itself can simply be one's name or may also include a comment or remark about that person.

Simplicity and clarity aren't bad things, even at the risk of being a bit "dry and technical".

I have been a student of the internet changes that impacted the Real estate industry. Most new buyers, want transparency they want to see everything that is available and they don't want to give you their information until they are ready to see the house. As a Professional Realtor I can help them a great deal to not spend time looking a poor construction and bad neighborhoods. but I am finding they do not want. ask for help, I am willing to put up a blog and a site to give them as much information as possible but how do I get them to call me when they a ready or o ask for infomation Bob

Great article. Although I do think the subject of the Yellow Pages industries "saturation distribution" methods need to be addressed, your comments were on spot.

I believe an opt-in or subscription based distribution would be much better suited for "today's consumers."

Cheers,

There’s so much misinformation out there that people don’t really know what is and is not. It’s refreshing to see people that know what they’re talking about. You have an Informed commentary seems to be a rare commodity these days. Keep it coming.
